Update October 1, 2014
From Connie: I wrote a real special letter to Coach Sutton asking if we could have the honor of naming the golf tournament after him.
“THE EDDIE SUTTON GOLF CLASSIC TOURNAMENT”
Sponsored by the Class of "65" the Friday afternoon of our 50th reunion. It took him several days to call me because he kept thinking the reunion was the end of this month. He told me he is having neck and back surgery in the next 2 weeks. When I reminded him it was in 1 year he said. GREAT!!
SO, THE GOLF TOURNAMENT IS NAMED AFTER OUR BELOVED COACH SUTTON. Now we must spread the word and advertise. He said he might not play but he would be there to greet, support and have a great time. I am going to try to keep up with him during this surgery and recovery and will keep the committee informed. Coach Sutton asked for our prayers. He has had this type of thing before and he says it is not fun.

Update December 08, 2014
A class of 1965 class ring was found in Seguin, TX. No one has responded to the e-mail regarding ownership. The contact person is Elizabeth Guerrero at ccfg78155@yahoo.com.
She sent pictures of the ring to Carol and it is definitely one of ours. There were no initials inside. It is the smooth ruby with the Tom-Tom embossed in gold on the stone.
There were quite a few people who would be willing to buy it if the owner is not found.

Update June 4, 2015
ATTENTION ALL CLASSMATES:
Great News!!!
At the meeting this evening, it was decided that due to the generosity of some classmates and the timeliness of early responses. we have to extended the price of $65.00 per person until Labor Day! Yes, that means that you have until then to pay only the minimum amount. After Labor Day, the cost of attendance will go up to $75.00 per person. This will give you ample time to get your registration fee in without undue strain. Please try to send your forms as soon as possible as we will need to know how many alumni and guests will be in attendance.
COMING SOON: There will be several junior high school get-togethers on Thursday evening before the Reunion begins on Friday. These will be hosted by members of the junior high class. Dates, times, and locations will be sent out when they are finalized.
We are still needing donations for the Silent Auction. If you have something (anything!) that is new or gently used that you would be willing to donate, please let Carol know

We knew our Connie was fabulous,
but didn't really know how fabulously wonderful she really was and is.
Please take the time to listen to our own Paul Harvey extoll her virtures.
From First United Methodist church Website:
Paul Harvey was a legend in American radio broadcasting history. He was born in Tulsa and was a 1936 graduate of Tulsa Central High School (now the PSO building at 7th & Cincinnati). He had the most listened-to radio program in America for decades. Virtually every adult American from the 1950s through the 1990s listened to Paul Harvey. His programs reached as many as 24 million people a week. Paul Harvey News was carried on 1,200 radio stations, 400 Armed Forces Network stations and in 300 newspapers.
In 1992, on one of his daily nationwide radio broadcasts, he did a story on another Tulsa Central High student, a girl named Connie Murray Ichord. The actual four minute story from that day in 1992 is here. Enjoy this incredible story recognizing our awesome Coach Connie!
Sadly, another Brave departs:
Josie Buchanan wrote: “My mom, Charlyn Langston Buchanan, went to be with the Lord in the early morning of Wednesday, December 16, 2015. She was a beautiful lady and strong woman of God!
We will be having Visitation at the Bixby Funeral Home on Sunday, December 20 between 2 PM and 4 PM.
Services will held Monday, December 21 at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church in Jenks, Oklahoma at 10 AM.
Thank you to everyone who has been keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers. Mom touched many lives in her time on this earth and I know she knew how much she was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
